I have always read about motor vehicle accidents causing whiplash among other things and who knew that I would have gotten into one a couple of weeks ago myself due to my negligence in driving. Merging lanes in NY highways is like the scariest thing here for me here. But good thing that the other driver and I were okay but I was literally shaking from head to toe because I did quite some damage to his car and my car. The person was pretty nice about it considering that I’m the “young reckless driver” according to my age but everything went smoothly in terms of exchanging insurance info and filing the police report.
As they say, whiplash does not come until later so I had some swelling the second day. Decided to give myself some simple PT by icing every 4-6 hours, sleep supine and sit in proper posture, and took some NSAIDs (advil) for a couple of days and it went away, which was a relief.
Though that went away, apparently from a combination of anxiety from the accident, and stress/eating habits in general, I gave myself GERD/acid reflex so now I have to watch the dieting and the stressing. Need to limit myself from the caffeine, tomato foods, fatty foods, and chocolates. Sad but I’ll live.
Fixed the car and relieved the symptoms. Lesson learned well.
